This project looks into how a JPG image changes when certain byte parameters are tweaked. i used P5.js to apply a glitch effect to specific bytes. These effects are triggered by music played through the microphone, with the results depending on which bytes are chosen, the sound input's amplitude, and the song's volume changes.

For the project, I used various fruit still lifes from my home. The glitch effect was applied to one, two, or three different bytes. The resulting movements were saved as GIFs, then converted into an MP4 file with the matching sound.

On the «Ingredients» subpages, you can see how the interventions were done and explore the number and variety of different PNG layers.

Right now, the sounds on the website can all play at the same time, creating a big cacophony, which isn't very useful. However, I see potential for a future project where simpler sound layers or noises influence images or shapes, combining these visual elements into a cohesive visual and sound artwork.
